Model X Road Trips

That’s an interesting question. I haven’t gone on >200 mile road trips with this cargo carrier/haven’t had to Supercharge.

That being said, recall it can only carry a hundred pounds on the Tesla hitch so it’s very easy to simply take it off (like literally a moment) and set it aside if need be.

There are quite a few superchargers where you can drive in (like at the end of a row) or through (like in the middle of a parking lot) so there’s that, too.

I’ve gone on several long trips with the hitch rack mounted. It is indeed a challenge but I haven’t had the need to dismount anything so that I could SC. I always had my wife stand in the back to guide me as close to the chargers as possible.

Should be a piece of cake. Even our MX Standard Range (75D Raven) is capable of most sectors with reasonable charging times.

~148KW seems to be the fastest I’ve witnessed even on V3.

Longest depends on how much is needed to reach the next DCFC, I think 1:15 was needed to get from 2-99% (66kWh)

Average stop is around 30 mins though.

Generally if we buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle they don't suggest to go on long drive for 5k miles... so i was thinking the same with X

Well they don’t want you to take a Harley without a tremendous amount of oil

Nah man it’s fine but you know when you get a new car and are going to drive it a bunch you might wanna check the alignment just in case it got a bit out of alignment during transit.

And panels are usually no issue nowadays. Tesla has come a long way.

They will check the alignment for the cost of an alignment check, lol. I did get mine checked right away and there was a very small adjustment needed.
