Model X September Deliveries

I forgot to mention I didn't get any Tesla swag when I took delivery on Friday. I didn't want to seem like a cad to ask for the cup, pen and umbrella that others have received in the past. Perhaps they're done handing out freebies. I did get the nice box for the keys though.

Took delivery last night. 60D. Spent over two hours going over the checklist and examining the car for build issues. I haven't found any so far.

Our swag bag included an umbrella, pen, mug and a box for one of the keys.

Looks like it is my turn finally. My delivery specialist had told me they planned to deliver the Model X to my house by the end of the week, but I was not going to get my hopes up until I heard from actual truck driver an actual day and time. Well I just got that call and he plans to deliver the vehicle close to where I live between 9 and 11 am tomorrow! I am super excited because I have waited for this since before the Model X was revealed and the first X they made for me was configured wrong (a story for another post).

I know people go through extensive check lists when they pick up their Tesla at the service center. But since I have already paid, my plan is to mostly check the paint, seats, headliner and such for anything which could be construed as wear and tear items and do the full check list when I drive it home. Does that make sense since the truck driver is not a Tesla employee and has two other vehicles to deliver that day? Any other advise?

Check doors and trim.

Took mine today at SC. Had a click that was easily fixed. Tow package wasn't installed. Few bright trim imperfections. Overall very happy. Just make a list and call them. Very helpful and build quality was better than expected. Not cleanest but all easy fixes.

Tesla must be pushing to get a lot of cars out in Q3.

I put in my order on 9/7/16 - 90D, Obsidian Blue, 20 inch silver wheels, white leather, carbon fiber decor, six seat, auto pilot, premium package, subzero package, UHFS, and towing package.
The order was confirmed on 9/14/16
A VIN was assigned on 9/14/16
Production Started on 9/23/16 and finished on 9/26/16
Delivery is scheduled for 9/30/16

They initially told me I would not have the Model X until mid-October. My 50amp outlet is not being installed until next week.

I just hope Tesla is not sacrificing quality to get as many cars out the door in Q3 as possible. I guess I will find out when I go through the delivery checklist on Friday.

I have a question for people who took delivery away from a service center. Did your vehicle come with enough charge to drive at least 10 miles? I would need a little less than that to get to the super charger if it arrived close to empty.
