Model X September Deliveries

You all are lucky that your vehicles are going into production so quickly. My March order VIN 117xx is still in pre-production queue, although I also anticipate a late Sep or early October delivery. My DS is less than forthcoming with information, even when asked.
Don't feel bad. I confirmed in January with a 10xxx VIN still no production entry date. If this was not a Tesla I would already moved to another company.

Looks like a spot is being saved for my MX :p

I only received an email from Tesla saying that production was complete. MyTesla has not updated yet. So it was sometime between 8/20-8/22 because as of Friday the 19th, my DS said that there was no news on production yet. I was always told in the past by my DS that production was slated to begin on 8/22 which, if true, is a one day turnaround.

If they are building over 1000/wk, I think 1 day turnaround should be correct.

It seems that MyTesla doesn't update at all anymore.

One day turnaround would be um, nothing short of amazing.

I hope I get a production status email soon!

I will pick up my MX this afternoon, and My Tesla page still says "Your order is now confirmed and in the factory production queue.".

Check with your DS and they will give you update on the production and shipment schedule. Assuming you are from Doylestown, PA, it will take at least 3 weeks for the car to be shipped to Freemont to Devon SC after the production is completed.

I think the IT department is lacking in terms of keeping systems synchronized. Date tracking of a few hundred car statuses per day is not that hard in terms of technical oversight by IT. 300 go in, 300 come out per day, something like that. Data replication is not complex for that type of environment - I hope they are not doing all this by hand.

I have a feeling Tesla has other reasons to not automatically update the My Tesla page with all the steps. Going into Speculation Land, it could simply be because of (negative) user feedback when things have shifted around (been delayed - "but you promised, wah, wah! stomp stomp") or to mask some of their internal ramp up/down and production speeds (competitors, stock market, etc.).

In any case, The page does say "Your delivery experience specialist will reach out with updates...".

Love how My Tesla says that he will reach out with updates, yet mine hasn't even bothered to respond to an email I sent him back in July. No communications whatsoever.

(In fairness, I did get my questions answered a couple of weeks ago by calling the service center and talking with the person who answered the phone.)

You would be surprised how much data is handled/entered by hand in this day and age!
