I had to replace two tires at 17k miles due to excessive wear on sides of tire (one was worn down to metal and tire “blew” out”). Your poll only goes down to 20k miles.
These tires are just road lovers..they barely last 20,000 due to we can't rotate and balance the tires like other vehicles .. . Any tips to get 30,000 miles?
Where did you order the tires from?My original Contis just got replaced at 32K and 3.5 years. I probably could have pushed them to 35K+, but the car was in for AP2 to 3 upgrade and the SC offered an alignment with install for $160 even though I had tires delivered to them for $570, Nexen N'Fera RU5 Korean tires someone recommended here on the forum for the MX. Only 200 miles on them, but so far I love them, no noise, gripped road during launch test, and no noticeable change in range.

Those are the tires I have on my 20's and they ride surprisingly well. I changed to them back in November (now have the 22's on w/Pirelli's). Road noise is minimal and traction seems to be the same as if I had the expensive Conti's on there again. My original Contis just got replaced at 32K and 3.5 years. I picked up my used X a week ago. I brought a tread depth gauge with me. 3 of the tires were just in the “green zone” (7/32) and one was 9/32. I was hoping for 4 brand new ones but I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’ll probably need tires before the year is over. That’s sad. Just picked up a used MX tires look new. Hope I don’t have to replace every year.

It's anyone's guess but I saw the other forum member who obviously drives more miles than I had gone through them in about the same miles as the OEM, 30Kish, in a year I think it was. We shall see, but for less than half the price I will be OK getting 30K out of these. Funny that they come with a 65K tread-ware warranty, but obviously our staggered setup voids that gimmick.Do you think your Nexen RU5's will last longer than the original Tesla tires that came from the factory?
Sure; here's a link to Tire Rack's method for measuring tread depth. The tire gauges are very cheap on Amazon. I keep one of those and a tire pressure monitor in one of the storage bins in my car. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=148I think Op had to enable that feature prior to posting the thread. Surprised to see that the majority ~37% replaced it at 20K (or below)! That's just crazy!
The majority, 34.3%, replaced the tires at or under 20K miles, 22.9% at 25K miles, and 20% replaced them at 30-35K.Anyway to view the poll results without voting?
