There has been talk about a webcast for the unveiling, and I was curious if anyone might have a link yet? I could find absolutely no mention of it on Tesla's website. Is this an in-store-only event, or will they be sharing the love with those unable to make it to Cali?
Check Elon's twitter feed for 1/27: The Model X unveiling will be webcast live on Tesla Motors | Premium Electric Vehicles at 8pm on Feb 9th. Most cars are pretty blah. This is not.
I wish Elon would have included the time zone. I guess I'll have to assume pacific time since Tesla's out there. Do you ever get the feeling the California doesn't know there's a whole other part of the country out there
Tell me about it! Not looking forward to NBC's made-for-the-East-Coast-but-tape-delayed-for-the-West-Coast "primetime" coverage of Olympics events that I'd know the results of already.
I think the important point is that we're the CENTER of the world. That's all we really need to know. My favorite California quote ever: In my 20s, a friend from SoCal was talking about a spectacular rainbow ... paused, looked at me, and asked, "Do you have rainbows where you live??"
Last night's tweet from Elon: Yes, we will unveil a fully functional advanced prototype of the Model X -- almost identical to production.
Just got an update from someone at the event. They are just standing around at the moment. Things look a little delayed.
