Model Y’s sold out in the Midwest supposedly

I contacted my local SA to ask about taking my hold off and getting a Y before the end of the year and this is the response I got.

“Unfortunately no. All of the Model Y's in the Midwest have been sold. If you are willing to drive, we do have Model Y's available in Colorado.”

Looks like the incentives are working.

Yep, I read an article yesterday that said Tesla only had 70 in inventory nationwide. Freakin' amazing selloff.

Seemingly Tesla hit their goals. Now all of the news story will be about how they sold out and come next year, longer lead times again...

I think they did it to crush their Q4 delivery goals. Their stock should jump when they report 2022 earnings. That, and the Model Y is on the cusp of being the #1 selling car globally.

I've done a bit of research. It would seem there about 30 Model Ys available in the whole US now. Watching the NYC market, cars pop up occasionally but are lasting minutes up to a max of 30 minutes before they are gone!

I've been checking the availability since yesterday and they do occasionally pop up, but lasts up to 10 minutes at most... There is still a chance to get it, just need to keep checking.

There were a few model Ys and 3s this morning available in Florida but they are all gone now. The only place I see with inventory is the CA Bay Area and that is only for Ys. No 3s even in the Bay Area.

With the new tax info released, people are gonna scramble even more to buy up any available in the next 3 days.

Here in Northwest, more than 2 dozens of 3s and Ys are gone respectively one day after the $7500 incentives published.

Telsa stock price will keep dropping. There is an overall drop in demand just like the housing market due to high interest rates and inflation hitting the economy and a pull back from high priced durable goods ie: Teslas. And the recession has not even hit full stride yet...

Better than we knew with the new IRS ruling that only the MY with 7 seats qualifies as an SUV. The 3 RWD and any with an MSRP below $55k will qualify.

Not really, there will be another list for the battery criteria. In order to be qualify for the full credit, all criteria need be to matched.
