Model Y charge port ECU replacement CCS

Hi there. I just finished installing a new CCS capable charge port ECU (P/N P1537264-00-B) in my Model Y 7-seater and thought I would share my experience. I was fortunate to have the service manual to help me as well as all the helpful guides posted here on this forum! Thank you!

First of all, I can confirm that disconnection of the low voltage or high voltage battery is not necessary for performing this task. The official service manual from Tesla does not say to disconnect any batteries. The basic instructions are found in the attached pic. The most tedious part of this procedure is the partial or full removal of the side trim, particularly so with the 7 seater as the third row left seat was in the way. To gain access to the ECU on the 7 seater, the clips holding the trunk side trim toward the front also need to be loosened up to get enough hand room to reach the ECU (see attached pic). I almost needed to pull the entire panel off to get the room I needed.

Hope this helps!
