Nah.. they send a weekly email that tells you to 'drive less' and stuff but unless you're ragging it they don't take any action. After 3 months they decided to take the box back so for a 200 quid discount it was worth it.I hear admiral cancel your insurance if you speed 3 times in a month and punish you for driving at night or too far from home or in rush hour. Sounds like it's totally unworkable!
I crossed the country in my Y with the black box and they never mentioned it or penalised me for it. Loads of times during rush hour. It's just not a thing outside of truspilot reviews (written by teenagers who don't want to admit to their parents they were driving like nutters so 'it must be that one time I drove during rush hour').
