Model Y Insurance Cost

With a real VIN, I am looking at $510/6 months with $500 deductible. I also have another car and homeowners insurance through State Farm

I had GEICO for a 2017 Lexus NX and 2008 Acura MDX at about $750/6 months, the estimate they gave me for swapping out the MDX for the Y was $1200/6 months, an absurd increase! They said Teslas are really expensive to fix. I called around and ended up at Costco Connect who not only quoted me $680/6 months for the NX and Y but $650 for the NX and MDX. I ended up switching out from GEICO to Connect even before taking delivery of the Y. When I got the Y and took off the MDX, they actually dropped the premium even more - $445/6 months! One thing I didn't initially factor in when I had GEICO was that I wasn't driving nearly as much due to COVID so my yearly miles dropped - which also dropped my premiums. Make sure to give an appropriate accounting of your actual annual miles. Located in the SF Bay Area.

I am USAA member too, do you finance or paid off? I got $885 6- months premium for the Y included comprehensive as mandatory for financing.

No financing but comprehensive is included.
