Model Y low speed

Hey all, does Model Y have a sound when driving forward at low speeds? I have a 3 from 2019 and it's deadly silent at low speeds. The model Y I picked up last week makes noise like which sounds like the tires make a lot more road noise than the three. It's not the Jetson's Woowoowooo sound that is very obvious. It's just.... louder road noise. Is this supposed to happen?

I think this was a regulatory obligation that Tesla needed to make standard. I don't know if there is a workaround to remove the low speed sound.

I think this was introduced to make it safer for pedestrians- could be a regulatory requirement as well.

There is a new NHTSA rule that requires EVs to emit noise at speeds below 18.6 MPH. There is a way to bypass the pedestrian warning speaker, but if you hit a pedestrian there may be some liability issues.
