I posted this in the model s forum and thought I might also post in this sub forum to see if there is any other advice. So I currently own a german ICE vehicle and looking at buying a tesla. I am stuck deciding between a 2018+ model S versus newer 2021+ MYP? Which do you guys think I should get? I have test driven the MYP. I am torn between the faster model s and nicer ride versus more updated battery & technology in the MYP.

I went through the exact same process ultimately I chose a new MYP because I like the smaller sportier feel.
I drove both a lot before deciding. I had a MS for a month. I was deciding between a 2019 Raven build or newer and the MY.
I think you should try to test both as much as possible and get the one you’d rather drive in a daily basis. Pros and cons to each.

Y has the heat pump. S does too? It matter. Range also matter. Go with new battery pack over used, any day!
I was deciding this factor tooo back In 2020. A new LR Y or a used X. Glad I went with the Y!

Plus. I prefer the taller vehicle with cargo space. I had a S loaner and didnt liked how low the S is.
also, u getting the older chip in the S over the Y. The S UI will feel slower compared to the Y. Liked using a 3 year old iPad over a new one. My opinion.
