Model Y Performance Matrix Headlights

I have a model Y performance on order. It has a Fremont production date of 11/10 (I have the VIN). Can anyone confirm that it will have Matrix headlights?

I received my Model Y Performance on Saturday. It was a Fremont Build. It did not have Matrix Headlights. Does all Model Y Performance come with Matrix Headlights? If so what can I do?

Yes, that is what I have. I was surprised. I love the car so it's not a deal breaker, I just thought all the Model Y Performance came with the new headlights.

If it looks like that, then you DO have Matrix headlights.

MYP have always had Matrix headlights. Only MYLR yo-yo back and forth between having them or not having them. Seems Fremont MYLR have them all the time now and the first two (still unconfirmed with photos) reports of Austin MYLR having them have just surfaced.

The MYLR I picked up from the factory this week, built in 02/2023, has matrix headlights.

That a terrible angle.

The only people who could possibly recognize it, are the people that have stared at pictures of it for a while (which I have).

Instead of a top down picture, you needed a head on picture. Because the actual part that makes it Matrix headlight is the outer projector (behind which, is a grid of little LEDs).

To the side of the projector are two reflectors for LEDs. They’re similar to non Matrix in that non Matrix headlights only have the reflectors for LEDs (about 5 or 6 of them). But they are different in that, the ones in Matrix headlights are bigger (they aren’t squeezing in as many).

It is my understanding that all MYP have matrix headlights. If yours does not, it will be the first one mentioned on the forums.

Please post a photo from the front at headlight level looking in.
