Tesla has officially built a million cars.

Chief Executive Elon Musk posted a photo this week posing with employees surrounding the vehicle, a shiny red Model Y.

The new crossover is the fifth all-electric model that Tesla has produced since its founding in 2003. The Tesla Roadster brought the company into existence, then the Model S became a coveted luxury sedan, the Model X SUV brought electric power to America’s favorite type of vehicle, and the Model 3 brought the brand mainstream. The Model Y is positioned to be the company’s biggest hit.

Tesla reported vehicle production of 415,000 units in 2019. The company aims to build 500,000 units this year. New factories in China and Germany will soon give the company capacity to produce a million cars a year.
