This is why incentives are needed, 8 years ago a model S with 400km range cost $140k, now a Model 3 with more range is $50k, incentives help push the advancement in commercialization and will bring price points down. in 3-4 years I would bet the SR+ will be around $40k (with around 500km range) with a sub $30k Model 2 (400km) arriving
Nor they understand where the Model 3 rebates came from. Typical “I don’t want my tax money funding incentives!” Bs.
wow... $50,806CAD.... yea... doubt Tesla is going to lower their price in Canada. seems we always get the shaft
After the PDI (all fees), $39,990 + $1,200 = $41,190 USD. Possible new price in Canada : USD x 1.303 = $53,670 CAD Before the price adjustment in US, $41,990 + $1,200 = $43,190 USD vs $56,290 CAD. The rate is around 1.303. it would be around $2,600 price reduction in Canada. Please let me know if I miss any
Is it worth holding off on an MY purchase in hopes of a price drop? Was probably going to order in the next week unless there's a good reason to wait.
I would wait. It may qualify for the rebate soon. would suck to buy now and then right after you take delivery, the price drops $5000
It's possible, but lately everyone I have talked to at Tesla insisted that rebate was NOT coming. Obviously they have bias to move cars off the lot, but I trusted them on this.
Just went to Tesla near Broadway in Vancouver, they said no news on the prices coming down here, only states for now but they said anything could happen, they don’t get warning on things like this, it just happens
