Model Y size or dimensions

We rented a 3. The car could work except that it sat a little low, if knees get bad (some days they are) it could be tough to get into and out of the car.

Is it known how much higher the Y will be compared to the 3? Or even compared to a Subaru Outback?
How about headroom? Did they announce anything with regards to headroom, either front or back?

Outback is 8.7” off the ground before considering the seats. The MY is most likely lower for better efficiency, but reduced off road capability. Similar to the Model X.

Considering the M3 fits my 6’1 body comfortably, I can’t imagine the MY is smaller.

Imagine a Model 3, but a foot taller. That's pretty much all the Model Y is. No amazing new breakthroughs or design changes.

My wife has a new Honda Pilot and I really like the height of it. has similar sized rims ( 18" with 235/60/18 tires) lowest point of the vehicle is about 7" which is the muffler. Bottom of the passenger door is 10".

I saw a video with former NBA player Matt Bullard who is 6ft 10In sit comfortably in a M3, I wouldn't worry about headroom

My biggest concern is if a large sized dog crate will fit in the back which I am assuming it will
