Model Y Tint in Austin?

Any tint shop recommendations in Austin? One shop that I contacted asked for $600 for roof alone! Not reasonable, right?

We just got a quote from Shades of Texas in Cedar Park. The prices seem fair, their reviews look great and they use 3M film.


We will be dropping off the Y next week to have the front windows done.

Following up on this, how did the tint turn out? Did you still just get the fronts done? What VLT percentages did you end up getting? I've got a quote and tentative plan with Shades for whenever my MYLR is delivered as well.

I ended up going to sunbusters in lakeway. They did a very good job. I think the total was $650, pinnacle all around and air90 on windshield. Didn’t get roof done since it already rejects all UV and most IR. incremental difference in further IR reduction is not worth the price. Could go darker for heat, but I do not want it darker. Noticeable difference in heat inside cabin with windows and windshield.
