Yeah leasing seems to cause a lot of delays. Have you watched the Munro teardown videos of teh MY on youtube? I'm watching them for a second time, just to get myself fully familiarised before my collection on Thursday!

Tools are staying at home. I will be taking apart most of the boot to install my kick to open boot sensor!

Yeah it's not too bad, looks like I need to take both layers of the under boot storage area tub out though, but at least theres a nice big hatch in the middle of the back bumper, unlike the model 3.

Model 3 is easy, i can fit a power boot kit in 2.5hrs - done dozens of them now

That's not bad, looks like there's a lot more work to fitting the powered boot.

I'd love to fit the powered frunk to the MY, but over £500 for the bits just isn't worth it for me.

Ooh, I didn't realise you were the resident install guru! Have you installed a kick sensor in a Model Y yet? I'm wondering if it is definitely necessary to remove the under boot floor tubs, or if it's possible to route the cable to the bumper another way?

I'm doing one on saturday, i'll let you know but it does look like the black tub needs to come out unless you prefer to remove the bumper

Yep, my insurance is pre warned and it will just be a phone call on the day, if they don't send it before then.
