Model Y with rear facing jump seats?

There is a rumor that Y could be a 7 passenger car. Looking at the location of a motor and battery electronics I just cannot imagine how Tesla could make a 7 front facing seats on model 3 platform.

On the other hand jump seats, like on the model S, would be possible but are they really worh the trouble? Of all the cars I know only E class wagon offers them.

have them on my S.. used it a handful of times when we had more kids over than expected. It now basically just takes up space vs having an empty cargo area, but S has plenty of room compared to 3.

I really don't think the Y will have enough space for jump seats, unless it has one heck of a tail overhang.

but they fold down enough to give you cargo room?

My highlander has fold down 3rd row good for kids. Supposedly some early Rav4s had them too

Yes, it folds flat into the cargo footwell/storage area.. whereas you could store/hide stuff in there in vehicle without the jump seats. Excuse the dirty car.

3 yo. daughter was crying when I put her in by herself. Hoping the Y will have them facing foward! Maybe Elon will talk about it tomorrow? When is the concept unveil?
