From my source that seems to know what the future holds with Tesla. When asked about the M3 having Falcon Wing doors my source said that "there will be a Model 3 and Model Y. One of the two will." I think they might have trouble putting those those doors on the roadster. I guess the M3 could still get them.

From talking to a senior Fremont employee last year I know they have chatted about a new sports car.

Think about their current priorities, however:hit production targets with S and X, and set up to deliver 500,000 Model 3s pa. That last is an unbelievable target; the first two are no easy hit. Elon has also consistently said he wants to stay until the Model 3 is a winner (and being made!).

All this says to me: one day there will be a new sports car. It's unlikely to be for a while....
