Does anyone know where the tow points are for the "S"? During my recent visit to see the Beta "S" I could see any outward signs of towing points.
I asked about this back in the NAIAS-related e-mail and didn't get an answer on it. I also looked at the Bellevue vehicle somewhat (somewhat = behind ropes) and didn't see any.
I do believe Tesla has stated that the Model S is not designed or rated for towing. Model X however will be.
@Doug_G - Clarification... The request/concern is for towing *of* the S, not by the S. Also, some of us want tow points on the front as a front license plate anchor location. Being towed - Tow points are threaded holes on the front, usually hidden from sight somewhat. Doing towing - Tow hitch, typically on the back, and usually very conspicuous.
Doh. I haven't seen any tow hooks on the front of the car, so it may very well have the same screw-in bolt thing that the Roadster does. Edit: I've looked at my close-up photos from the Toronto beta tour, and can't find any sign of front tow hooks or somewhere to screw in a bolt (or a license plate for that matter). I can't completely rule out tow hooks because my best angle isn't quite low enough. It's also entirely possible that this feature is missing from the early betas.
