I started hearing a loud flapping noise coming from the passenger rear trunk area recently. The only components in this area are the sub woofer and stereo amplifier. I made a service appointment with the Merritt Island service center to investigate and repair the problem. The first thing I was told is that because I installed a Tesla Offer auto frunk opener, Tesla would not replace any questionable components for an intermittent problem until I removed the Frunk opener. However they did find that my amplifier was bad and replaced it which seems to have solved the problem. Tesla clearly does not like 3rd party components installed on the car so be advised that Tesla service centers could reject your warranty claim for any installed 3rd party items. Recommend removing them before the warranty service visit.
