Just to be sure:

Can we modify our model Y order such as wheels even after getting an email telling us to choose a delivery window, etc?

I'm so torn between getting the induction wheels or saving 2k and getting the geminis and maybe buying some custom TSPORTLINE wheels later on.

This would surprise me, because typically it means Tesla is ready to match your order to a VIN and get that VIN to you. Also, depending when you ordered your Y, pricing may have gone higher so be sure to compare your existing order price to what it would cost you to configure your desired Y at tesla.com today, before trying to make changes to your existing order.

Whatever you do after you paid your deposit and config should be addressed to your delivery specialist if you have one, or call them directly.
Depending on the status of your car production (if you've received a VIN yet), you may still be able to do a swap without compromising your delivery date.

I would personally just use that money and get some aftermarket wheels, but that's because I don't want to deal with 20 inches of wheels with higher risks of costly damages from potholes (especially in Canada with the amount of potholes and how big they are).

i have the same fears, my wheels were changed by them to the 20 inch inductions where i had ordered the 19's as an upgrade. but they end up looking so sharp with the pearl white that i'm gonna stay with them and only replace if i have problems.

Yeah my White/White Y LRRWD pre-order was auto-changed to the 20" wheels by Tesla as well. This seals the deal: the car looks so badass now with no chrome and those ~black wheels that there is now a 100% chance Stormtrooper is going to be purchased by me (once Tesla gets around to yanking that front motor out and selling me my $56,500 W/W FSD LR RWD Y!

funny you should mention stormtrooper. my son picked up on the color combo and i think it's hilarious. i bought a couple of stickers that will not stay on in the long run, but will look great. but the other thing i saw were black louvers for the rear 1/4 windows and the back window, though these were for the 3. assuming someone makes them for the Y, those are definitely going on.

So I got my email on Monday. Original order was a performance with FSD. Before I clicked on the email I removed FSD. Then submitted my availability from the link in the email. Then today I noticed people with AWD NON performance are getting the same email. So I changed my order again to just standard AWD, the only reason I ordered a performance in the first place was because I thought it would be the first ones shipped. Now that it makes no difference I decided to save the money. So I will let you all know what happens.

Im really hoping I'll be able to order just the white interior dash trim to fully black white out the car. I think the wood interior trim is going to look a little off but I definitely didn't want to get the white seats.

after seeing your previous post about the stormtrooper, I'm also contemplating what I can do to make some funny adjustments.

I did just that. After I got the notice I did an edit and dropped FSD and Performance and then added 20” induction wheels. I was told it will not effect my delivery date.

I modified the Color/Wheel size and going back and forth between AWD/Performance 6 times after I placed my initial order in early January. It had no impact on the delivery date, I received the emails like everyone else last week.

i locked on to the stormtrooper thing too. got a couple of stickers (see previous post on this thread) (won't stay on long, but funny to start with) and saw some black rear window and side read window louvers for the 3 that i am hoping come out for the y

Lol. As this was my first Tesla, I screwed up and changed my order after being a day 1 resv holder. That changed my total price.

I now have the "storm trooper" look as well and plan on slapping some nice xpel stealth for that sheen look with protection.

I am still debating between the induction or waiting for tsportline wheels.

There are going to be MY EVERYWHERE and it's going to be funny trying to find my car in a large parking lot. Just want mine to look a tad unique. :)
