Moisture Inside Headlights

Last year when I picked up my AWD LR Model 3 I noticed some moisture streaks inside the lens of both headlights, Tesla replaced them under the warranty. Then a few days ago I noticed the same thing again and took it into the Tesla service center. As they were about ready to install the new replacement headlights they noticed streaks inside them as well, so they checked their headlights in stock and all of them had this streaking inside them. They also checked some of the Model 3's on the lot and they had it too. So they called Tesla and was told to send them a picture of the issue but that they were aware of the situation. It seems to be a parts vendor issue and at some point Tesla will remedy it and replace my headlights again. Considering how long the Model 3 has been out, I'm wondering why it's taking so long.

I'm curious to know how many others out there have this same issue.

I don't think it has anything to do with rain. I think the residue is from the manufacturing process of the headlights, because as I said before my service centers whole inventory of new headlights had this issue.
Gotcha- well my new ones look perfect now. Also had some rain the other day and still looking good. Maybe I just got a good batch or they’ve finally been updated.

Well, my service center said Tesla hasn't fixed the issue yet. But Tesla isn't known for giving their own staff the right info. Have you tried using a flashlight to shine some light at an angle into your headlight lenses? I'd be shocked that you still didn't have some residue in there.

I’ll try to take some pictures of the new ones but I’ve shined light at it and can’t see a thing. I got them from the Bellevue SC if that helps anyone.

PNYLeccy - Could you take another picture of the new headlights but shining a light from the side. The residue in my headlights couldn't be easily seen unless I did it that way. I have a feeling there is still residue in your new headlights, it's just not a visible....yet.

I didn't see it in mine either until I turned off the camera flash and used a flashlight to shine the light into the headlight from the side. Even in broad daylight the Tesla service center reps couldn't see it until I did this.

Adding my experience with this issue.
First noticed this issue about 2 years ago but I wanted to wait until Tesla was able to resolve the vendor issue first before requesting replacements. This month I had service center replace both headlight assemblies. I've attached pictures of the stains and a section of the service report.
