The review doesn't say much other than it can do the job for a soccer mom, is much more expensive than a 13yr old Civic, and that plugging in a big battery is far more convenient than going to a gas station.
That is precisely the point and it's a big deal for people who want a car, not a rolling statement about eco-friendliness. The S is the first EV that works as an everyday driving car for most people out there. You can forget about charging during the day and just drive. And for a soccer mom, not having to swing by a gas station is worth mentioning. One less stop. One less thing to plan. Just get in the car and drive.
The guy that feels everybody should drive a $28K Camry. Think the same logic is used when talking about BMW or Mercedes?
Meh I replied to the thread. The Nissan Leaf trounces a Camry in TCO (in fact most cars that get less than 25MPG and cost more than $25K), it's just math...
