Just received a surprise package from Tesla. It contained a Tesla Roadster RC car! Radiant Red with tan seats.

Batteries included! (Carbon Zinc, not Lithium Ion.)

Also a nice xmas card with greetings from Elon.

Got mine yesterday, was going to give it to my 9 yr old nephew, but I'm rethinking that and may just keep it :) Never got such a toy from Mercedes, Ford, Toyota, etc...Nice holiday touch from Tesla.

I think you discovered the same thing I did... it only goes straight when you drive in reverse!

I see you don't have tail lights either. Obviously the box lies.

Thanks, I'm sure he'll be right on it.

It's been lightly snowing almost continuously for two weeks. I'm in serious electric withdrawal at this point. Snow tires are sounding better and better!

You can adjust the forward steering with the little white lever on the bottom of the car. It biases the center position. This thing is going to have to keep me company until the real one arrives in March! 8^)

You'll need to hire a driver, or drive it yourself; I can show you how the controls work if you like :)

My wife grabbed the box, immediately wrapped it, and put it under the tree. I'll have to wait until Friday.

They sent me a second one! Must have heard that in my excitement to set the first one up, I used a screw driver on the remote to open in instead of sliding the door to place the battery and now it doesn't work too well.
