Motor Failure 24hrs After Delivery?

Good question; Tesla was very sparing with details, but a few comments strongly implied the whole rear motor assembly was replaced.

My car has been at the Tesla service center since July 9 waiting for a new rear motor. Car had 1500 miles or so. Had the car for 3 weeks when this happened.

For sure, if it WERE a common issue, the media would have it on the front page in a heartbeat.

Statistics. How many Tesla drivers are there? Of them, how many are on this site. Of those, who had this issue. Its population statistics. Given the prevalence of the problem on this site alone, the drive failure appear common.

No automaker publicizes disproportionate warranty work. Until it becomes a recall.

It happens sometimes and there are threads on it, but IMO to say it’s common is not accurate.

IMO at least 10-12 failed motors in this small community IS common. VERY common.
