Motor Trend's HellCat VS P85D

I also found it fair. It did make me wonder if Tesla has ever thought of making AWD/FWD/RWD selectable on the D's?

If you're thinking about it the same way the MotorTrend guy is, it seems to me like what you're looking for wouldn't really be a RWD mode, as much as a mode that dialed back the rear wheel traction control and stability control to allow some wheelspin and some drifting.

I haven't heard anything about Tesla considering that, but it's certainly well within the scope of their firmware updates.
 
I hope you guys got my point, the fact that multiple people may own both, actually proves it, two different purposes. My point was, I haven't seen the first person who was wondering "should I buy a Model S or a HellCat". I believe buyers shopping for a Model S would be comparing it with other luxury sedans, or other EVs, not with "hot rods". With that said, some people may certainly want both.
