So you don't read Car magazines but are extremely upset that this review didn't cater to your wants and needs. Guess what? They don't make money off of you and have a different audience in mind. Also keep in mind that Tesla isn't hading out these cars on long term loans, so it seems unreasonable to expect them to experiment under all conditions. A real world figure is good enough in my books. I have no plans to hyper-mile in the car anyways.

Maybe you missed it or just think I'm a grammer nazi but the title of the article was

"Exclusive: Tesla Model 3 Long Range First Test"
not
Exclusive: Tesla "Model 3 Long Range" First Test
or
Exclusive: Tesla Model 3 "Long Range" First Test

So it gives an expectation that they tested range to anyone that processes grammar of English natively.

Maybe that isn't a sign of what testing needed to be done, but a sign of a poor editorial staff that doesn't know grammar enough to make a proper non click bait headline.

People should stop focusing on the 310 me range fully equipped car and look at the $35k with 220 mile rage. This is the model most people will buy

exactly..sweet spot for 200 miles for $23k but I am not in hurry for a new vehicle at the moment...my wait time will allow me to buy at that price to mile ratio
