You can easily trim off that top "ear" of the cord managers and get a compact mount. Might do that to mine as well.
You need a certain angle to the device, or the weight of the handle/cord won't hold it latched.
Also, if you have access to a 3d printer , you could print one of these holsters sideways and mount it to the wall on its side. With a drill press or even a steady hand you could take one of these narrow pre-printed models and drill sideways through it, then mount it with its side against the wall.
