Looking for recommendations in the Wilmington area for an electrician familiar with Tesla wall chargers.
My wife, Susan, and I own a 2015 Model S 85 D and a Model III Performance. They are our daily drivers.
I am a Tesla and EV enthusiast. If anyone knows of a local group let me know. I just heard about the Tesla
Fest East event. Unfortunately, I can not attend due to a conflict. It sounds like a great event. Thanks, John

    Fellow M3P Wilmingtonian here,

There aren't a huge number of Tesla's in town yet (though more and more every day), and I haven't found any local groups. The NDEW event last month in Fayetteville was nice, and there is a Cars & Coffee meeting the first Saturday of every month. I was the only Tesla owner at the one last weekend, but there was also a gentleman who had an iPace.

I'd suggest calling some of the local solar installers, they're the people most likely to have experience installing chargers. But any competent electrician should be able to install one. It's basically conduit and an appropriate breaker.

I am curious, as a non-Tesla owner who is interested in the Model 3, what your experience has been in the Wilmington area as far as:
    1. Insurance costs
    2. Service issues (eg; do you have to go up to Raleigh)
    3. Parts availability (eg: heard that any parts damaged in collisions take months to replace)
Also, out of curiosity, how close to the rated range has your battery charging been?
Sorry to sound semi-anal, but very interested in the promises of this car and am trying to assess the realities.
