My7 wife backed her CRV into one of the porch support pillars little over a year ago. She has a backup camera and her mirrors work, no excuse for not backing up in a nice line up the driveway lol.

The wife excuse is generally a valid one.

If I had a super tight garage I'd probably do the tennis ball thing plus some kind of line up marks/tape on the wall in front of the car to bring it in "on the ball".
