MSM with Black Wheels

Hi all, wanting to see some pics of your MSM with black wheels. I have a 2021 LR AWD that so far I've got 20% tinting and front clear PPF. The only other thing I'm considering is either powder coating my current wheels black or getting a set of aftermarkets. But, can't decide if I will like the look of black wheels on this car. I actually do like the current silver wheel because it gives some contrast to the wheels and the rest of the car. So, looking for inspiration!

Here’s mine currently

There's a lot of pics of MSM 3's with black chrome delete and black wheels in the main Picture thread, and I also see a lot of them on the road.

Me personally, I pretty much made my car look like your 2021. I did satin black chrome delete, put on 20" silver performance wheels with spacers to push the wheel offset out wider (better look) and lowered it on Eibach springs, and I put on a satin black trunk emblem and painted my factory license plate frame in satin black.

I think the silver wheels give just enough contrast to a dark looking Model 3 and keeps it clean & classy looking. IMO, black wheels on our cars would be too much dark colors and no contrast, and doesn't look that good.

If you had stayed with the Aeros, you could order a set of black orbitals. They have some images at least so you can see how the black “wheels” would look.

@Bare What are the "black orbitals" you mention? Do you have a link? I want to stay with 18" wheels to maximize range, but I don't care for the look of the Aeros. are "Black Orbitals" some sort of wheel alternative?

What % tint did you get on the side front and rears? I'm also in SoCal so don't want to go crazy dark on the front. I was thinking front 30% and rear 15% ... your tint %s look solid and fairly "safe". Thanks!

The fronts are 30%. The rear are stock tint (measured 25% by my tint guy) on a Model Y - it’s not like a Model 3 with out stock tint on rear windows.

The windshield is 70% and roof is 20% on top of stock tint.

This is how it’s like from inside on mid-sun.

Thanks! Good to hear you went 30% up front ... hopefully you get left alone on the streets of SoCal ... the tint place is "pushing" me to go 15% front and rear sides - I think that would be too big of a "target"
