I ordered the OEM mud flaps directly from the Tesla store and it took a week to get them. It's a beautiful Sunday, so I went outside to install them, opened the box and .... 3 clips instead of 4! Really? I emailed Tesla to get a replacement. In the meantime, does anyone know if these clips can be acquired at an auto supply store?

You can probably get something close enough at a local auto parts store, nothing special about the Tesla supplied plugs. Just match the diameter and depth and you're good....
We should combine our resources and install one mud flap each!

Not surprised since my box was shipped without any tape. Anyone could’ve opened it and taken out the contents.

Or they could have fallen out on any number of the automated sorting systems, slides, to belts the box saw along the way.
The clips that Tesla is supposed to include with the mud flap kit are slightly longer than the factory clips that hold the fender liner. The additional length of the clips accounts for the thickness of the mud flap.
So today I stopped by a local Tesla service center (I'm fortunate to have 2 within 15 mins in either direction) and they were really nice and tried to find me a spare clip but didn't have any. I went over to Autozone down the street and they didn't have the correct one either. So, I'm just going to send the box back to Tesla and check out a 3rd party solution for now.
The best part of the service center visit was seeing a first edition Model S a gentleman was bringing in for service. It was an unusual red color and he said it was reserved for the first 1000 S's.
