Multiple Malfunctions with New MS 100D

I went to get into my three day old MS 100d and encountered the following issues:

• The Navigation Mao was not recognizing the car as I drove it. It stayed locked on my starting point
• Autopilot was not working. When I tried to activate it says "Cruise Not Available"
• My Waze App was not recognizing the car either.

I tried rebooting three times to no avail.

Any ideas?

I had that happen once on a drive to work in my 100D, tried rebooting a few times. I got to the parking garage and parked for the day, then when I drove back home it started working. Many features are disabled when GPS isn’t working, and for me it seemed to be a software glitch. Hasn’t happened since, if it does though I’ll put a call in for service.

Cruise won't work till you have accumulated some miles. I was told 300 miles, but my car activated after just 100. The car has a calibration it is going thru.

My Waze App was not recognizing the car either.

Try going to Waze Settings> Advanced Settings>Display and Map> Car on Map> and select the color of the car icon that most closely resembles your car color.

What version of software are you on? There were some issues with 2017.50 and was quickly replaced with 2017.50.1.

Sounds like your GPS froze. You need to call Tesla and have them remotely reset it. (That explains all three issues.)

The autopilot cameras have to calibrate if memory serves- or at least they had to on my archaic 90D. . . lol. Hang in there and I think this will engage within 100 miles or so. . . enjoy!

So, you got your car fixed with a 20 minute phone call. Cool.
