Music: Can't figure out Recents and Favorites

Wondering if anyone can help me figure out how the Recents and Favorites work? I have TuneIn, Spotify and Tidal accounts and use them all with my S LR. It seems like it's pulling recents and favorites from the apps as well as from what I'm playing in the car. Is there any way to separate what is Recent vs Favorite? What exactly constitutes a favorite since I know some MUST be coming from the actual audio profiles on those apps (I see favorites there that I did not pick on the car). Same for recents, things I am playing at home seem to be showing up as recents in the car. Can anyone help me make heads and tails of this? Thanks
