Musk: P85 will be faster also!

    Apparently it's not only the P85D that will get faster with a SW update. Elon tweeted:

    "P85 acceleration will also improve, but not quite as much"

    AWESOME! but with the crappy Pirelli P7s I have it won't matter.. I can't get grip in even in the dry summer time till 45 mph.

    According to the math I remember from a while back, that's right about where the P85 goes power limited (torque limited below that.) Depending on exactly what they are changing in the programming, I could see the update affecting the power limit, the torque limit, or possibly both.

    The Pirellis that come with the Tesla winter wheel package are the Pirelli Sottozero II.
