50 miles seems a bit high for a new car? Was expecting it to be at 30 miles, tops...

Or is it just a place-holder until delivery?

Believe they use that figure for all the cars. While most will be under that amount they will want some wiggle room in case they need to drive it just before delivery for any reason. Most all miles put on your car will be for the benefit of the new owner. Getting the car to you in the best possible condition.

Sometimes a Ranger might even deliver the vehicle to the new owner. In this case, of course, the miles may be greater.

The point is, if the car is over that amount, there's big trouble. So, they put a number that will never be exceeded. So: 50. Like others, my car had 6 miles. :D

That's good to know. Thank you guys so much for alleviating my concern!
