MX owner manual ground clearance with/without skis?

I was reading the Model X owners manual (https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/model_x_owners_manual_north_america_en.pdf page 176) and was trying to understand what they meant by ground clearance with skis and without skis?

What part are they talking about when they say skis?

I believe it is in regards to when the factory hitch mounted ski rack is installed.

This is what I thought at first but the manual mentions that the ground clearance is 7 inch both with and without skis when suspension is set to standard but when suspension is set to high the ground clearance is different. I had imagined that the hitch/ski carrier would raise by the same amount as the rest of the car...
