I'm beyond excited to be the proud owner of a 2016 75D (haven't picked up the car yet)!! I've never wanted a very specific car that badly for so long - 5 years now waiting......

It's a bit crazy as I'm a die hard ICE car guy (I currently have a heavily modified V8 engined japanese sedan (1999 Lexus GS400) that I've had since it was almost brand new. Some pictures below.

I bought the 2016 75D last week from Tesla Canada directly, so it comes with a 4 year/80k km warranty starting now. It has only 26K km ( 16.25k miles) and all the options (other than the Upgraded stereo. I paid $73.6 CAD (USD $55.7K). Metallic silver on Black leather. See pictures below.

Huge thanks to NavSarin for giving me a heads up on this deal that appeared for just 1.5 hours on the Tesla site and then was gone. It got sold before I even saw it! Anyway, I called the regional sales rep and he also confirmed it was sold. Next morning I got a call from Sean Singh (the regional sales manager for Canada) and he said that the financing didn't go through for the buyer and I could buy it if I wanted. The rest is history. :)

Congrats and welcome to the family. Thank you so much for not buying another ICE, and of course extra thanks for making your first EV a Tesla. You won't go back, I promise.
Thanks! I forgot to mention that not only am I not considering any more ICE car purchase, I've been trying to sell my modified mint ICE car, but have not had any reasonable offers so far.....

Grats! I just came from a 2012 LX460 two weeks ago, into my 2016 Model S 90D. You will not regret your decision. Love the color of yours, and nice that you were able to get the air suspension and probably AP2.0. I reaaaaaaaally wish I held out for those two things, but I figure wth, I'll just get a used 2019 in a few years.

Thanks for the welcome, fellow ex-Lexus owner! :)

My build date is June 2016, so its still AP1 (AP2 came out in cars built starting in Oct. 2016). I'm fine with that considering that it will be light years ahead of my 99 GS400. I deliberately decided to not get AP2 simply because cars with AP2 were easily another $10K more and out of my budget.

Like you, I will probably change this when the warranty runs out in 4 years (or just prior to that to get a better price) and get into a 2019 like you.

Yes, the sweet spot for used Model S's is AP1 right now. The cost goes up significantly for AP2+, so that's why I also did the same as you. Still you got the nose refresh which is nice.

I just sold my LS two days ago, and I have to admit it felt weird just to be back in it to drive it to CarMax. I feel like I just sold my flip phone for an iphone.

Electrician is here right now installing my Wall Charger!
