I figure I should provide a brief update on my earlier post in this thread:

Brief Summary:

Ordered: 6/10/2017
Delivery: 7/22/2017 (exactly 6 weeks from ordering)

Delivery was pretty simple. Being an existing owner, they didn't have to do any orientation. We mostly figured out how best to stage the cars for a photo op with my other 2 Teslas.

That said, the delivery was honestly a bit of a mixed bag.

The good:
- The color is stunning. Upon entering the delivery bay, I paused, stared, and I think my jaw dropped a little bit. I was speechless for a bit. I adore the signature red and it was just beautiful. I've already received numerous compliments on it.
- The interior was immaculate. It looked brand new. I don't think the back seats have ever been used. It was just fantastic. The sunroof operation was also incredibly quiet and smooth. Makes me think I need a cleaning of my current Model S pano roof.
- TPMS sensors were upgraded to gen 2, so you can see actual tire pressure (the original TPMS sensors gave low tire pressure warning only, but no actual pressure information)
- LTE upgrade was installed (per my request. I asked to purchase this during reconditioning)
- After a few days of taking delivery, the car seems to be in great mechanical shape. It drives very smoothly. It's relatively quiet (Model S's in general need better sound deadening - while there's no engine noise, there is a lot of road noise). I'm pleased with performance. It's a P85, so we're not talking P90D or P100D speed here, but the P85 is quite respectable and even faster than my Roadster at highway speeds.

The bad:
- I did not receive the inspection report at delivery (but I did receive it 2 days later).
- I was missing a parcel shelf although I specifically asked for one. However, I was also told to drop by the SC and pick one up anytime. The parcel shelf is an item on the CPO inspection list and mine was marked "replace." Apparently, no one bothered.
- There were more rock chips - mostly on the hood - than anticipated. I think I read in another thread the CPO standard is anything less than 10mm is normal wear and tear. Well, I obsessively measured the largest ones and there are none larger than 6 mm. It's a good reminder that this is a used car. The old owner clearly did a lot of highway driving. I'm going to meet with some detailers this week to discuss paint chip repair as part of a clear bra and detailing package. That said, the paint color is still quite stunning and the chips are not visible in many photos.
- The SC did not refinish my wheels from silver to grey as they told me they would per my request. However, after looking at the inspection report, only 2 wheels needed reconditioning so this is quite reasonable. I can't expect them to refinish wheels if they don't have to. I just wish they would have informed me. That said I still found small chips on 2 wheels (less than 10 mm of course). I decided to powdercoat them black anyway, so I'm okay with this. It's just a matter of no communication on something that was agreed upon.
- Thanks to my handy TPMS sensors, I noticed the tire pressure was low at 38 PSI on the 21" Turbines. The sticker on the B-pillar recommends 42 psi so I had to fill them up a bit. I found that an odd oversight.
- I found one minor issue yesterday. The driver's side vanity mirror looks distorted - like I'm looking into a carnival or circus mirror. That should be a quick fix.

I unfortunately forgot to take a look at the rated range at delivery since my wife drove the car home while I drove my trusty Roadster. That said, when we got home, the rated range was 232 after a spirited 15.2 mile drive home (80 mph + on the highway). I think that's acceptable for a 5-year old car with 24,000 miles on it. I'll keep the SOC a lot lower living in Phoenix. The range is plenty for my needs.

Oh, one more general tidbit - from talking to some staff at the Tempe Service Center, I was told the CPO influx in June wasn’t necessarily a “dump,” but rather a change in policy. For a long time, CPO’s had to be under 50,000 miles. Then this increased to 55,000 miles. Someone at Tesla decided that instead of letting all the higher mileage cars go to auction, with the new 2-year, 100K warranty in place, Tesla could designate, recondition, and sell some higher mileage vehicles as CPO’s. I guess that’s what happened back in June.

I don't mean to cross post from the 2012 Signature Model S thread, but below are couple of picture I posted there.

Good luck, everyone! This process is not fun, but I hope your patience will be rewarded!

Great photos and thank you for the detailed report. The sig red looks amazing congrats!

More updates - I am in the last push to delivery!

6/6: Ordered car during flash sale. Car located in Connecticut, I am in SoCal
6/7: Contacted by CPO advisor. Told timeline was going to be around 2 months due to location of car
6/11: Went down to Buena Park to test drive a P85D and met advisor in person (We needed to test out the next gen seats). Advisor told us car was already reconditioned so the timeline would be shorter than originally quoted.
6/19: Got photos of the car - it has a center console, score!
6/25: Notified car is in Burbank and that we would be transferred to a DS
6/27: Picked up my car from a service appointment at Burbank and asked to see the CPO. Got to look at inside as well as get part numbers off suspension to verify P85+ suspension (yay!). Car is dusty but looked good for a cursory check
7/5: Pinged Advisor again since DS hadn't contacted us. He told us there was a delay since the car didn't pass inspection when Burbank looked at it. DS contacted us after advisor forwarded email. Advised we should start financing process.
7/6: Applied for financing with Tesla and a local credit union. Got approved for 2.99 thru Tesla (TD Bank) and 1.99 thru credit union. Also got trade in quote from Tesla on our Audi. It was OK, but we are still going to try Carmax to see if we can better that a bit.
7/17 Finally got a delivery guesstimate from DS today. They think the car will be ready 7/28 at the latest. So we will probably schedule pickup the following week after that. So the very first timeline of 2 months that we were given is probably going to be the correct one.
7/22: Got a note from the DS that the car has returned from the body shop, so the 7/28 delivery is looking good. CPO advisor emailed and wanted us to fill out the remaining form on our trade in. We had gotten offers from Tesla, Vroom and Carmax all within $500 of each other, so we decide to go with the Tesla trade in just for ease. Filled out online form and sent to CPO Advisor.
7-23-7/26: Radio silence - still waiting on final MVPA for credit union. Tried to call CPO Advisor but found out he left the country on a trip and didn't tell us who the replacement was (!). Figured out who the replacement was and got that guy going on finalizing all the paperwork. Finally get a PDF copy of the MVPA late in the day 7/26, but my credit union needs it to be signed by both us and Tesla. Get a hold of the CPO Advisor again and they will convert the document to a DocuSign type format so it can be signed. (This happened automatically on my last purchase, so I didn't know I needed to request that).
7/27: Still waiting on the Docusign copy. Then we sign it and wait again for Tesla to sign. THEN I can process the loan with my bank. This is really getting frustrating since it seems like I have to wait several hours between each contact with Tesla and we are quickly running out of time. Its like there is no sense of urgency to make Friday's date. If we can't take delivery Friday, we will have to push it several weeks out due to our own schedules which is very, very frustrating since we ordered the car 7.5 weeks ago.

And a center console!
I know, right!?! I pointed this out to my wife and mentioned to her that's something I can now take off of my wishlist. I can't tell if it's the EVAnnex one, but if it is then that's at least a $500 insert!
It also looks like the windows are already tinted! I know there was a post about aftermarket tint will void some sort of warranty; I'll check on that but if no warranty is voided I'll certainly keep those as well considering that was another wishlist item.
I was told that only minor cosmetics needed to be addressed, so hopefully, that means it's only a matter of only a couple more weeks at the most.

06/19 - Ordered in Montreal's SC, car is coming from Toronto. Delivery estimate end of July.
06/22 - Got email about financing from California, numbers for my trade-in need to be updated.
06/23 - Got confirmation from CPO advisor that car arrived in Montréal already :)
06/23 - Asked for pictures but CPO advisor politely suggested to wait until the car is ready.
06/27 - Called Credit Analyst in California and got numbers right for financing.
06/29 - Texted CPO advisor for Trade-in sale update and got no answer.
06/30 - Texted CPO advisor again for Trade-in sale update and got no answer.
07/03 - Called CPO advisor about Trade-in sale and he emailed back asking for some docs.
07/04 - Got contacted by person who will take care of the Trade-in and that should be done by Friday.
07/04 - First contact with DS, he says car is going through certification process, will update me at the end of the week.
07/04 - Got a call from CPO advisor late in the day, he offered to match the private offer I had for my trade-in.
07/06 - Dropped off my trade-in at the SC for inspection, due to some miscommunication not the best experience.
I spent over 2 hours at the service center while actually that was not needed.
07/07 - Trade-in step shows as complete in MyTesla. 4 out of 6 completed.
07/07 - DS confirmed that car is in the body shop and he will update me when car is back at the SC.
07/11 - DS asked for up to date payout letter for the loan on my trade-in.
07/11 - Sent payout letter and DS got back asking me to drop by the store to give him a check for the negative equity.
07/11 - Trade-in is officially transferred to Tesla. DS confirmed the car is still in the body shop.
07/18 - Emailed DS for update but got no response.
07/19 - Texted DS to ask if he saw my email from yesterday. He responded saying he was out of the office and will reach out to me shortly.
07/20 - Texted DS again for update. Got response saying car is still in the body shop which will be closed the next 2 weeks due to construction holidays. Bummed about this. Likely update on Monday.
07/20 - Texted back saying that this will put the delivery date way over the original estimate. Got response he will try to update me tomorrow.
07/21 - No news from the DS so I texted him around 5pm. He confirms car is back from the body shop (good news!) and it will be scheduled for inspection on Monday.
07/25 - Texted DS for update. Car is waiting for parts to complete recertification.
07/25 - Emailed CPO advisor asking for a new delivery estimate considering the car is waiting for parts. He got back to me saying he got news from the service guys and that the DS will reach out to me shortly.
07/25 - DS texted saying recertification has been completed and that only SAAQ (Canada's DMV) certification is pending. Aiming for Thursday delivery :D
07/26 - Exchanged some text messages with DS, still aiming for Thursday delivery!
07/27 - Car is back from SAAQ (Canada's DMV) certification and will be detailed in the morning. Picking up this afternoon!!!

Hopefully I will be posting some pics tonight!!

Been watching these threads for a bit and finally pulled the trigger on a P85..
I'm excited to get the car and know it will be a wait but worth it in the end.
I originally chose one then found another and talking with CPO Adviser he found me a better deal on one that has a minor Carfax report where they had to replace one fender. Since I'll keep this car for a few years and then pass off to the wife the fender wasn't an issue.
2014 Red Multi Coat,
Carbon interior and spoiler
Red Calipers
High Fidelity Sound
Performance Leather
Sunroof
19" Cyclones
30K miles
53K

7/3 ordered CPO P85
7/5 got email ,said 6-8 weeks.
Started on my things to do on MyTesla page.
Got 4/4 items done.
Now MyTesla page is asking for payment.
Doing insurance quotes now. State Farm, whom I been with for almost 40 years wanted $1500/year.
Looking at Geico and Progressive.
7/13 - update
Received update today, car is in Houston getting refreshed. DS said he will let me know next week on timeline. I went with Progressive insurance as they were the cheapest. I also liked the way they treated my daughter when she totaled her Pruis. They gave her a check four days later. Great service.
Getting terrible excited!
7/14-update
I asked Brent if I can get some pictures of my car in Houston. He sent me five pictures and a blank copy of the CPO inspection form. It's quite a list of things they check. Hopefully not too many things will be needed to be addressed so I can get my car in a few weeks.
7/28 update- contacted DS , I stated to him since car has been in Houston service center they should know what's needed and a "ballpark" date for delivery. He responds back with they are way ahead of the 6-8 week timeline and are now looking at early August.

Here is where I am:
6/28 9:29pm - EV-CPO Alert
6/28 10:00pm - Completed the deposit and received the automated Thank You e-mail
6/30 - Received an e-mail from Christian the New England adviser asking for me to call his cell phone
6/30 - After a few rounds of phone tag, I spoke to the adviser and let him know I did not want to have to pay the $2k transport fee to NY. He researched my car and it was in Tempe, AZ, no location was available on the CPO listing when I had bought it. I asked him to research other locations for delivery without a transport fee with my preference being Denver.
7/1 - Traded text messages, but delivery location still not confirmed
7/5 - Confirmed I can pick up in Denver. This is a great for me because I can get a direct flight and have friends to crash with.
7/6 - E-mail intro to delivery specialist. General 6-8 week time frame is provided, but they will know more after the 200-point inspection.
7/11 - Inquired on the move to Denver, no update available.
7/18 - Inquired on the move to Denver, no update available. The move is now marked as "high priority".

7/27 - Send an e-mail in to the DS. The car has been moved to Denver and has been inspected. They are planning to replace the drive unit.

Wow, you started 5 days before me, our cars are in the same SC and we both work with Brent! Oh, and we both have silver 85 kwh, although you're is there performance I really hope they're way ahead of their 6-8 well timeline. I was told only issues with my car were minor cosmetics but we were still looking at a late August delivery.

I have been searching/researching for what seems like forever and last week I finally pulled the trigger on a CPO 2013 P85. I came to this thread with hopes of many great stories of Tesla under promising and over delivering on their delivery time quotes, but I guess I will just have to wait...

For now all I have is a timeline to fill out and a few pictures of what's wrong with my car:

7/20 Met SA in Buena Park CA to validate search and place a deposit. Deposit made and "Congratulations email" received
- This car is already at the Buena Park service center so I am hoping this will expedite my process
7/24 Asked SA to keep me in to loop and asked if I could purchase any add on's as part of the transaction
- SA responded same day and said he would keep me in the loop, but did not answer question regarding accessories etc.
7/25 I requested photos and SA quickly responded with the photos of the cosmetic issues with the car
7/27 Just waiting

Here is what I am waiting for:
2013 Model S P85
- Grey Metallic Paint
- All Glass Panoramic Roof
- 21" Grey Wheels
- Grey Performance Interior
- Obeche Wood Matte Décor
- Carbon Fiber Spoiler
- Free Supercharging
- Tech Package
- Sound Studio Package

It looks like there will be some paint work on the hood and rear bumper a long with refinishing the wheels. No word on mechanical issues.

I cant believe you got photos in two days... Today marks week 5 and it's been made clear that no photos exist, nor will be taken of the car, until it reaches my local service center for delivery (and there's no update on when that may be).

6/15 - Placed deposit
6/15 - Was told to expect a 4-6 week time frame
6/29 - Was informed car was "assigned shipping"
7/12 - Ended my Nissan lease and was met by Tesla with my loaner, a Hertz rental :(
7/12 - Was able to see my car in on the lot. Interior looked nice but could use an exterior detail job.
7/27 - Got voice mail that they don't have my Hertz paperwork and need me to sign another agreement.

7/1 : Deposit placed for S85
7/1 : Received automated "Let's complete your order" email
7/1 : Received automated "Thank you for your order" email with PDFs attached
7/1 : Received email from sales adviser. Email indicated they would call the next day (Sunday) and that I should hold of on financing
7/1 : Responded to sales adviser indicating I looked forward to the call the next day and that the PDF sent via automated email had the incorrect price listed.
7/2 : Sales adviser called. Discussed the following: 4-6 weeks for delivery of car is expected, ask was prior to Aug 10th (5.5 weeks); Discussed incorrect price listed in PDF, Sales adviser will enter a request in the system to resolve discrepancy; Process: 200+ point inspection, Week 1/2: nothing will occur, Week 3/4: Inspection completed along with any service items, Week 5/6: Cosmetic issues address, End of Week 6: Delivery; Completion of items on Tesla website; Q&A Session
7/2 : Received email from sales adviser. Email replicated much of the phone conversation. Email documented the ask for delivery prior to Aug 10th. "Tesla Post Order Packet PDF" attached
7/7 : Sent an email to Sales adviser - Asked if the Inspection Report can be sent when complete; Asked if pictures of car could be sent; Asked if the car has 3G or LTE; Other misc questions
7/7 : Received automated email that SA is OOO until 7/11
7/11 : Sent an email to SA with an additional question - how long the delivery would take?
7/11 : Received emails from SA - Inspection report will be provided at delivery as it will not be completed until then; Will inquire with SC to take pictures but after the car is back from vendors (it's already at a vendor?!?!); 3G not LTE (can install LTE prior to delivery for ~$500)
7/14 : Sent an email to SA - Provided a response on 3G vs LTE; Inquired on the status of the car, price adjustment and pictures
7/18: Tried calling SA.
7/19: Called SA. Price discrepancy resolved. Car has not started the inspection process so the process is already behind schedule. Sounds like there will be increased capacity for processing CPOs starting this week so the hopefully it moves forward soon (with high quality). We plan to discuss the current status on 7/25.
7/25: SA had indicated that if I had not heard from them by noon on the 25th to reach out to them. I got a hold of SA in the afternoon as I had not heard from them at noon and there was a long pause after asking about the current status. Instant feeling of being let down. After the pause (looking up information) the SA indicated that they needed to discuss the status with their manager which I was perplexed by. I interpreted this to mean that the car still had not moved an inch in three and half weeks. SA indicated that they would give me a call back once the discussion was over. I had not heard back at ~5:45PM so gave SA a call on drive home from work. SA confirmed that the car had not processed at all. Reason for this is the large number of CPOs being processed (that were purchased the first two weeks in June and are still being processed?) and an underestimation of how long they would take to process. It sounds like all of the cars are actually being transferred to a new facility and that they are bringing on new techs to handle the increased workload. I'm torn on if this is a good thing or not, not sure if all of the issues will be found and correctly addressed prior to delivery. It also sounds like the regional service manager is in town to help accelerate the process (and probably other things). SA indicated that a delivery within 6 weeks is likely not going to happen and that 7 weeks is more realistic at this point. I was honestly thinking that this is probably an optimistic statement but then the SA then followed up with comments that delivery by the 9th may in fact still be possible though we would not know until the last minute. What a roller coaster. SA recommended that we reconnect on August 2nd which seems like forever away.
7/27: Sent text in the morning to SA to check on status of car and follow up on prior discussions around combining accounts (accidentally formatted my email address differently when I placed deposit versus what I used for model 3 reservations.) Got a follow up call in the afternoon indicating the car has not started, however, the techs will be working overtime this weekend and she has requested that they start looking at the car this weekend. (SA can not help with combining accounts, I sent corporate an email to see what can be done.) It looks like the car needs to already be in mint condition if I am going to get it by the end of 6 weeks.
