took delivery on a 2015 Model S 85D on April 27th. The car location was Mt Kisco NY, and I live north of Baltimore, MD. I pulled the trigger on April 9th, after watching a few on ev-cpo.com. I laid down my $2,500 deposit, sight unseen, other than 20 pics that were hard to really see. It had 27,716 miles on it, off of lease. Midnight Grey with just about everything but air suspension and UHFS. The day of the deposit, I was approved through Wells Fargo for my loan. I used my wife as co-signer, so the car was registered in both of our names. So both of us needed to be present for delivery. The first week I heard nothing. I called the Tesla 800 number to follow up. They gave me a few names, and copied me on an email sent to all of them. Finally, someone reached out to say they were very busy, and someone would be in touch. A few days went by, and again, silence. I began reaching out, from there, once per day at the same time. That seemed to work to get a response. Everyone on my email thread was based out of Fremont, NY. Finally, the week of April 22nd, I get notification of an April 27th delivery. They said confirmation would be sent out the next day. That never happened. I emailed twice before I got that confirmation. 2 days before making the 4 hour trip up to Mt Kisco, I was finally confirmed. The delivery specialist i was emailing with gave me a full rundown of blemishes, scratches, and wheel curb rash. So i was pleased that I got the scoop before making the trip. the car was rated 4.3 out of 5 which is considered above average to Tesla. Day of delivery comes, and we get there right on time. 1:30pm appt. We were there until 5pm. The car wasn't detailed, yet, and they were behind. We went out to eat, and came back. Paperwork was simple (better than all dealerships i've worked with) and the Delivery specialist spent 20 minutes with me on car functionality. Condition of this vehicle was exactly what was communicated to me. One plus, is that no wheels had curb rash. They changed the wheels for me, and all 4 tires looked fairly new. We identified one rear sensor was missing, and a couple scratches. My local Tesla replaced the sensor under warranty, and programmed a 2nd key fob for me, at no charge. I had a dealer touch up the scratches. This car looks brand new to me. What an amazing car. I'm speechless. Other than some lapse in communication, my experience was mostly positive.

Yup, communication issues can be tough. Personally, I think you bought the best Tesla model and year they ever made (and I'm objective as you can see by my signature). You should be sure to join the Mid-Atlantic Tesla Owners Club since you are in Baltimore. I'm in York, PA so if you do I'm sure we will meet. Here's a link for you:
