Model S and X cost more than Model 3...the cost of unlimited supercharging for your life is imbedded in the added cost. So, it was never free. Instead of making the MSRP higher, the M3 is lower + charging fees. In the end, it is probably still less than an S or X.Oh, well so much for the “free long distance” that Elon promised.
I think what he meant is that originally there was an idea of 1000 miles free a year that would cover most people's holiday trips.
At 3 miles/kWH and $0.20/kWH (CA, see Supercharging), that's $67 we're talking about here.
I was told by my DS yesterday that it would be "cheaper than a tank of gas".
So $17 for 85kWh which gives me roughly 200 miles? I'd say the math works out.
No mention of any gift

Got scheduled for this Sunday at the factory...10 day delivery from receiving my invite!! Awesome!!
...this is why one should invest in solar. My system had paid for itself in less than 10 years. My power could be considered free now.At 3 miles/kWH and $0.20/kWH (CA, see Supercharging), that's $67 we're talking about here.
I'm dying to know your car's VIN and actual production date as listed on the paperwork.
Congrats @GasDoc!
Opinion on if 2 rear-facing car seats - 1 infant, 1 convertible - will be okay in the backseat? Not concerned with width as much as I am with space between the car seats and front seats... oh, and I'm 6'2".
Thanks!
Thanks!Production date on paperwork says "12/2017". Not much info to gather from that.
Hi Bradley, just to be clear, you got the car today, right?I sat in the left back seat while person driving was 5'10". Although we did not have a rear facing seat, I would say it would easily fit. Way more room than a BMW 3 series.
