MY first software update

Well I’m excited. My app informed me I had a software update ready so I went to the car and started it going.

Glaringly obvious spelling mistake warning me that I will not be able to DIVE the car whilst it updates (1:41 hours).

I hope the software developers can develop better than they can spell!!

So what can I expect when I get into the car in the morning? No difference?? Is it all an anti climax?

Most of the time, nothing. This time may add the extra climate control feature that has just come out.

It's true, while the update is progressing you will not be able to enter 007 mode or lower the depth setting.

I wonder if you had the Jame Bond Easter egg on? That changes every word of “drive” to “dive”

Yes, you may get the new climate control feature that is also known as "camper mode" or "the Tesla hotel" or "the Tesla in and suites". In other words, for those that appreciate sleeping/camping in their car, you can keep the climate control on until the battery reaches 20percent charge... which if your fully charged will be a really long time.
In that update you would also get the new homelink feature which allows you to set the distance at which your garage door will be opened.

Technically, that is accurate. Unless you have access to a tow truck and a large body of water, you won't be able to dive the car while it updates.

It usually takes about 40 minutes. And yeah that sounds like the 007 Easter Egg was on!

I got my first upgrade notification as well but in the morning I came it said failed.

I’d reboot the MCU (hold scroll wheels until main display turns off) and see if that helps.

If not, the Service Center will have to assist. Sometimes they get corrupted in downloading, unfortunately.

I did put the 007 thing on, but could see it did anything!

Do you have air shocks? If so, go to that screen and change your height... er, depth. If it looks like a car, do the 007 thing again, it works like a toggle.
