So my buddy and I both have model s. On my screen I see the greyed charge icon (in my car). I thought it was because I have charged it there. My buddies car, never had been charged at my house, has same grey icon over my house! How is that possible. I can't see his house from my car.
How close are your houses? I have a bunch of charging markers in the vicinity of my house, apparently because the software chooses to record them regardless of the precision of the GPS fix.
Was his car a loaner purchase? If so, until recent firmware, loaners automatically added folks' homes to the "charged here" flag.
Are you sure he never once plugged in at your house, even for a matter of seconds? That's all it takes. Also try tapping on the icon - it should give you an approximate address. See if it's the same as yours.
The GPS approximates the address based on where it charges. I have outlets from one side of my house to another and depending on which one I use, the address shows up with a ten digit swing in the addresses.
You can delete the charging location by tapping on the "places" button, and deleting the appropriate visited charging point.
His friend is actually sneaking over and using his electricity when he's not looking. The charge icon gave it away!
Classic thread! Your friend is not only doing house calls while you're working, he is charging in your garage in the mean time. Sneaky. Keep us posted
