its either something like this, or the OP mistaking car total miles on the odometer for charge or something (that has happened before here on these boards).

If there was a screenshot we would know for a fact which it was, but what we do know for a fact is that no software update will change a teslas shown max range on a charge to be 500 miles, and be accurate.

hmm I wonder what the range WOULD be on the moon? Or any other planet with no atmosphere? With no air drag the only energy needed to maintain speed is to overcome internal friction, electrical and traction losses. Interesting to note that an ICE car would not work on the moon (no oxygen) .. another advantage of EVs!!!!
