Just got my new Model S P85 blue.
Now time for hand controls and 5% tint.
That is awesome! Enjoy your freedom riding in style.
Would be nice if Tesla did hand controls for you. I am sure their solution would be more elegant than most post market options.
Congrats! How cool would it be if engaged with engineers at Tesla and got your controls integrated?! Turn=swipe
(I'm sure there are strict regulations regarding this though).
Looks beautiful. Congratulations. Enjoy your ride.
It's a BEAUT!
Mine is also a P85 - Blue.
I love mine... and I am sure you will love yours! B I G Congrats!
Congrats and I'm always looking for more pictures of the blues, so thanks!
Congrats! Blue is so tremendous. I need to get the red calipers on my blue baby.
Be be sure and let us know how the hand control install goes. I would be interested in seeing how that is done.
Good lookin' car,
I've volunteered with adaptive ski & sports and one time a regular client asked if I could pull his car around. It was amazing to have hand controls, b/c I could leave my ski boots on.
Enjoy your new Magic Carpet Ride!
Have hand controls been done before on the Model S? How do they work, especially with the regen?
First off Congrats on the new P85 "S" and keep us posted on the enhancements for the hand controls. Simply just awesome.
Congratulations! Enjoy your Model S.
Looking good! Congrats.
VERY interested in the hand controls as well. Love to see some pics of the install. Who's doing it? Where? etc...
was confused about the 'hand controls' at first. Pictured a drifting e-brake lever and knob on the steering wheel! weee
Seems like a dual thumb stick steering wheel ala Xbox or play station would be ideal
Everytime I see someone get a tesla i say "aww" in my head like it's a cute baby! Congratulations? What kind of control system are you going to put in?
Well guys and car is tinted with hand controls. I went with 15% tint instead of my usual 5%. Dark interior made me go lighter. HC were put on by 101 mobility in Huntington, Wv. They've done all my cars and trucks. 2 issues i ran into was finding the battery for disabling the knee airbags and getting them out of the way for the HC. When we finally dug it out on the passenger side of the frunk it was easy going. They have that battery buried. I'd hate to change it for any reason. The great thing was the knee airbags were bolted in. Had to cut them out of my 2013 Charger SRT8. once gone add a relay to trick the computer and you're good to go. 2nd was having to unplug the movement on the steering column. all the way out and up and pull the plug. Now i can enjoy what you guys have been enjoying and this baby will run!
Welcome to the Tesla family, enjoy! I have always thought a joystick would be the best way to fly, err, I mean drive this car
Tremendous! Can you give us some pics of the hand controls?
It won't let me download anymore pics. I tried. How do you download more pics? I only have posted.
Wow, that's a pretty aggressive tint. Waiting on my Blue P85, planning on doing 5-15% too! Looks fantastic.
