Hello everyone, I'm new to the world of Tesla, having recently replaced my Audi RS4 (which I owned for seven years), with this new 2020 Model S Performance. It was one of the last inventory cars, in exactly the spec I wanted. I know many will say I should have waited for the refresh, but I'm absolutely delighted with this thing as it is, so don't regret my decision for a second. I also think there is something to be said for having the "last of the line" OG cars, which have obviously been greatly refined over the years. That's assuming there's going to be a refresh at all of course!
As collected it wasn't in fantastic condition, although nothing major. I think it had been sat outside for a while (mould on the window rubbers), and then washed badly, resulting in plenty of swirling. I enjoy doing my own detailing though, so this simply gave me the opportunity to get it perfect myself, and then protect it (with GTechniq ceramic coatings on the paint, glass and wheels). The result looks amazing to my eyes, and the car is just as fantastic to drive as I hoped (I'd not driven a Tesla, or EV full stop, before).
