I just went from driving a ford Expedition (I know) to a ford escape hybrid .... it more than doubled my gas mileage and still can do most of what I need it too. My next car will be a used Model X or a new Model E depending on a number of factors.

If they opened up (refundable until and including the finalize call) reservations today for $5,000 on Gen3 would you do it? If no, how about $2,500?

I would reserve one in a heartbeat.

Ditto. And I've mentioned that at least twice to Tesla folks.

If they need to raise capital, I'd love to see them open up the reservation list early rather than offer more stock. I'm not sure the numbers are remotely comparable though.

I would reserve at 2500 in a heartbeat.... I would most likely reserve at 5k as well .... I would have to weigh that against the 5k invested in Tesla for the next 4 years .... but i think the wait-list will grow so long on the Gen 3 that I would end up reserving at 5k pretty quick as well.

Yes, in a heartbeat, sight unseen. What a great way to spend some of my Tesla stock profits:smile:
The first day they open up reservations for Gen3 they better add some more servers.

I wouldn't reserve an E right now. (I think people will be very disappointed if it's called anything else). I have a mental price limit and it's on the borderline anyway.

So models lineup would be Model S, E, X...

To make lineup sounds sexy, Tesla would need to introduce Model Y:biggrin:

I think this about the 10th "aha" discovery of this on TMC. I stopped tracking though.

Thanx! But I have actually just repeated an old joke...

BUT!!! Mine excuse is that I have tried to extend it a little bit farther. I mean "sex" sounds vulgar and almost like a "porn". But word "sexy" is totally ok and actually sounds cool. Just add "Y"

But!!! "Model Y" sounds hilariously funny to mine ears:wink: That is why I posted what I posted...

PS. But what do I know, ESL here:(
