Do you think in the future there will be a tune to have the Performance MY launch harder like the 3? A review on youtube I saw said something about that. Curious your guy's thoughts.

No, the Model Y will always be slower than the respective Model 3. It's 10% heavier and the larger tires mean it's geared 6.5% lower (slower).

Yes, I remember that comment and it’s one of the reasons I stopped following i1Tesla.

The powertrain is well sorted by Tesla. There’s no need to sandbag it’s performance or “protect it”.

Model Y behaves like you would expect with it’s larger tires.

I think they will not do it. That is what separates the M3 from the MY as well. Sure the extra cargo is great, but if you now have a Boost option, it will sway people even more towards the Y.
