What did you pay to het it installed? It looks like this is sold as a DIY kit - is it a difficult DIY install?Recently had a Hansshow V5 power frunk installed to my 2022 MY. Brilliant accessory. So much more convenient, watching the soft close never gets boring. Already using my frunk much more than the trunk for everyday shopping and small baggage. Highly recommended.
Just out of curiosity why do you favour using the frunk over the trunk?Recently had a Hansshow V5 power frunk installed to my 2022 MY. Brilliant accessory. Answering that for myself: When I park at home I have a very tight parking space and I always reverse in. Now I have a power froot it's much easier to put stuff like shopping in there rather than in the boot.Just out of curiosity why do you favour using the frunk over the trunk?
Aw . I likes it!Froot sounds so lame .. like a probiotic yogurt.
Second this , was looking a this yesterday, affordable kit but out of stock and no mention of fitting prices , anyone know how much it costs to fit? What did you pay to het it installed? It looks like this is sold as a DIY kit - is it a difficult DIY install?
Already haveThere's a man somewhere, possibly even the second poster on this thread, with some experience in fitting. Not sure if he's doing Y's yet.
Install was £250. I guess it depends on your level of competence. I was happy to pay for piece of mind having it installed properly by a recommended installer. What did you pay to het it installed? It looks like this is sold as a DIY kit - is it a difficult DIY install?
Small items aren’t at risk of rolling about like in the boot, I offer reverse into spaces or at home so it’s easier to load from the front and most of all it just looks so damn coolJust out of curiosity why do you favour using the frunk over the trunk?
Fair enough. I find the deep recessed part of the boot is good for stopping things from rolling around too. That's the bit I use the most for everyday shopping etc. I get your point about reversing into spaces. I do sometimes get caught out by that, but not enough to warrant a powered frunk. Would be nice if it was standard though. I probably would use it occasionally then.Small items aren’t at risk of rolling about like in the boot, I offer reverse into spaces or at home so it’s easier to load from the front and most of all it just looks so damn cool
They’re not available for the Model Y unfortunately, afaik.I did the stronger struts for the auto open. The soft close would be nice though I hate touching the hood to close it.
